Nomination and Application Process:
"Best Workplaces in Canada" as published in The Globe and Mail

Nominations for the "Best Workplaces in Canada" list are accepted on an on-going basis, at any time during the year. However, for an organization to be considered for the next calendar year's list, the nomination must be received by the end of October of the previous calendar year.
Nominations for the 2011 list, for instance, need to be submitted by October 31, 2010.
IMPORTANT:  August 30 is the deadline for the “competition only” participation option (when choosing this alternative you will be considered for the rank but will not receive reports detailing your results).

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the list, organizations (private, public, and not-for-profit sectors) must have a minimum of 50 full and part-time Canadian employees.  Nominations must be submitted on behalf of the whole organization (i.e., corporate office cannot apply separately from the manufacturing branch).

Nomination Process

To nominate an organization, please complete the online nomination form. The form will ask you questions regarding eligibility organization contact information and to identify someone within the organization to act as our primary liaison

After Submitting Your Nomination

The primary liaison can expect to hear from The Best Workplaces Team to coordinate the following process:
The first step requires your primary liaison to assist us in conducting a short survey with your employees. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and consists of 58 statements, 8 demographic questions and 2 open-ended questions. This survey is called the Trust Index© and it will account for two-thirds of your final score.
The second step requires your primary liaison to complete a questionnaire about your organization’s philosophy, people practices, and work culture. This questionnaire is called the Culture Audit© and it accounts for one-third of your final score.
