Following extensive research, Great Place to Work ® has identified the 50 Best Workplaces for Women in Canada.
To be eligible for this list, organizations must be Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year, have a minimum of 50 female employees, and provide a male/female breakdown by job level (non-management., middle management and senior management).
The employees surveyed at the organizations on this list had a minimum 90% positive response to the statement “I am treated fairly regardless of my gender”.
The list of Best Workplaces for Women is based on direct feedback from employees of the surveyed organizations, and Great Place To Work ® confirms that the survey data has a 90% confidence and a plus or minus 5% margin of error.
The Best Workplaces for Women are setting a high bar for workplace equality. Though there is still room for improvement, 93% of female employees working at these organizations agree people are treated fairly regardless of their gender, 79% agree that promotions go to those who best deserve them and 81% agree that everyone has the opportunity to get special recognition.
This is the second list in the 2017 series of Best Workplaces in Canada lists that Great Place to Work® is producing to recognize and celebrate an increased number of organizations that are committed to creating good workplace culture.
Previously only the very best 50 organizations across all industries had been recognized categorized by their staff size; by focusing on attributes and industry sectors, there is a deeper level of detail for specific interests and a greater number of organizations represented. Best Workplaces in Canada ™ lists to be released in the near future focus on Women, Camaraderie and Technology.
Mission Statement: Great Place To Work ® The mission of Great Place To Work ® is to build a better world by helping organizations become great workplaces for all.
