Airports Council International (ACI) World

Airports Council International (ACI), the trade association of the world’s airports, is a federated organization comprising ACI World ,ACI Africa, ACI Asia-Pacific, ACI EUROPE, ACI Latin America-Caribbean and ACI North America.

Airports Council International World (ACI) World is the global airport association. As of May 2024, ACI serves 814 members, operating 2110 airports in 169 countries. In 2022, close to 55% of all employment in the aviation sector was at airports and, according to ACI’s Annual World Airport Traffic Report, airports worldwide welcomed 6.6 billion arriving and departing passengers, handled 116.9 million metric tonnes of cargo and 85 million aircraft movements in 2022. ACI World is a non-profit organization based in Montreal, Canada. ACI is a federated organization which includes five geographical regions serving airport operators on a global level. ACI World primarily aims to speak for and advocate on behalf of the airport community in key phases of the regulatory development process at the International Civil Aviation Organisation(ICAO).It also provides guidance and recommendations to members as well as programmes and services to the airport and aviation community. ACI World also has a number of technical committees that address matters of strategic importance to ACI, develop guidance material for airport operators and steer policy developments for the organization.
